As bad as the NYT/CBS poll is for Bush, it's even worse for Congress:
19% of respondents think Congress shares their priorities for the country.

Then how do these out of touch reps get elected? It never ceases to amaze me that people are elected to office, then months later, they're ratings drop. Don't people do some research before they vote? Look at George Bush's approval/disapproval ratings now too........why was he ever elected to a 2nd term?
